Hurricane ‘Sandy’ hit the New York/New Jersey area on October 29, 2012. ‘Sandy’ is the largest Atlantic hurricane on record. It did some massive
damage to the shoreline of NJ and sections of NY. Fortunately, we did not suffer any direct damage (unlike hurricane Irene) but the neighborhood
lost more trees which damaged property and downed our power lines. We lost our electric power for almost 7 days. As of this writing (November
8th) there are still sections of NY & NJ without power. Here are some pictures of aftermath in the neighborhood.
